You know how if you like a TikTok more, you'd watch it again, or if a TikTok is funny you'd keep watching that TikTok, or if you'd comment? Tiktok will probably take that information, and measure how much you like something, and give you more of what it thinks you'd like. To the question of how any short form content algorithm, knows more about you, like showing you a relatable TikTok, or a relatable adhd tiktok, or a general area of where you are, it's cause people similar to you will like a certain TikTok then TikTok thinks you might like that it too, so it inadvertently gives you tiktoks that might be hyper relatable, then you'd comment, boosting the algorithm, kinda saying thats what you like, and it will give you more. The idea of apple giving apps access to face id, unless it's used for privacy (diaries, file hosting, etc), is absurd as it almost preaches privacy, and apple wouldn’t want to lose it's trust with it's customers.
